Gopalkala

Gopalkala is celebrated on the next day. Kala Kirtan takes place in the morning by renowned Kirtankars. Govindas from neighbouring villages come to dance in the procession and break the handi.

Dipotsav

Ashwin Krishna Dwadashi is observed as Guru Dwadashi which is equally important and considered auspicious in Guruparampara.  To celebrate this occasion, all the devotees come together and perform abhishek on the Padukas of Jagadguru Dwarkadhish and Samadhi of our Guru Param Poojya Leelatai Karve.  This being the first day of Diwali, Dipotsav is celebrated by lighting decorative diyas and fireworks. Diwali sweets are distributed to the senior citizens in various old age homes. Thus, beginning of Diwali is celebrated in the presence of Sri Dwarkadhish in an innovative and unique manner.

Sri Krishna Janmashtami

Sri Krishna Janmashtami celebrations begin with performing abhishek on Bhagwan Dwarkadhish, Shringar and Mahapooja followed by Mahaprasad. Abhishek on Padukas of Dwarkadhish is performed by chanting “Om Namo Bhagawate Vasudevay” followed by Sangeet/Nritya seva by renowned artists and at midnight Sri Krishna Janma is celebrated.

The next morning, renowned Kirtankars perform “Kaala Kirtan”. Gopalkala is celebrated by Govindas from neighbouring villages who come in procession performing traditional dance and break the handi.

Ram Navami

Bhagwan Sri Ram is an incarnation of Bhagwan Vishnu and so is Sri Krishna. We, at Dwarkadhish Temple therefore, celebrate Sri Ram Janmotsav on Chaitra Shuddha Navami at 12 noon followed by Nritya / Sangeet Seva and Mahaprasad.

Nutan Varsha Swagat “Farewell to Outgoing Year and Welcoming the New Year

This unique event is organised every year on 31st December. All the Devotees get together at the temple and celebrate the New Year’s Eve by listening to Devotional concert and Cultural dance performance by renowned artists in the fields of  performing arts, till midnight. The New Year’s Eve is celebrated in a totally different, divine atmosphere, in contrast to the way the New Year’s Eve is celebrated everywhere by dancing, dining and partying. Lot of youngsters participate in this celebration. At midnight, farewell is given to the outgoing year and New Year is welcomed by chanting “Om Namo Bhagawate Vasudevay” and showering flowers on Bhagwan Dwarkadhish. After welcoming the New Year at midnight, a prayer thanking Dwarkadhish for protecting everyone and a commitment to follow the religious path and observing ethics and duties of a citizen and following the concept of universal religion (Vishwa Dharma) is made.

Mahashivratri Utsav

Hari & Har (Bhagwan Vishnu & Bhagwan Shiva) are not separate, but they are part of Trigunatmak Swaroop of the Supreme Power Governing the Universe. We therefore, at Sri Dwarkadhish Temple, celebrate Mahashivaratri Utsav every year. Dwarkadhish is worshiped in the form of Bhagwan Shiva on this day. Laghurudrabhishek is performed followed by Nritya / Sangeet Seva and Mahaprasad.

Guru Poornima

Bhagwan Krishna is known as Jagadguru. We therefore, celebrate Guru Poornima utsav at the temple every year. Abhishek is performed on the Padukas of Bhagwan Dwarkadhish and Samadhi of our Guru, Param Poojya Leelatai Karve by reciting Gurugeeta followed by Mahaprasad.

Samadhi Sthapana Din

The Samadhi of our Guru Param Poojya Leelatai Karve was established on 1st May, 2004.  Since then 1st May is celebrated as Samadhi Sthapana Din.  We perform Abhishek on Poojya Leelatai’s Samadhi with chanting of Gurugeeta and Srimad Bhagwad Geeta. We invite eminent artists for performing Sangeet / Nrityaseva which is followed by Mahaprasad.

Sri Dwarkadhish Mandir Vardhapandin

An idol of Dwarkadhish Krishna was installed at Sri Dwarkadhish Mandir on 12th December, 1996. This day is celebrated as Vardhapan Din every year by performing Yadnya for the World peace and welfare of the human beings.
